Writing Workshop

We wrote about the beach last week during our writing workshop.  The students had to think of something that had the same beginning sound as the beginning sound of their first name.  Here are the papers from Tuesday's group and Thursday's group.

I would take Noah.  We would go in the water!  At the beach we would have a picnic.

Christian

I would take a kitten to the beach.

Cole

I would take Colin to the beach.

Josie

I am bringing jelly.  I am playing in the sand at the beach.

Madison

I would take a man to the beach.

Kooper

Kooper would take a crab.  I am playing.



Writing Workshop

Mrs. Raff (the nutrition lady) came into our class today and talked to us about germs.  The students put pretend germs on their hands and looked under a special light to see what they looked like.  Then we washed our hands and checked again to see if we washed all the germs away!  They learned a lot about germs and we wrote our WOW germ facts during writing workshop.  Here are the papers from Tuesday's group.  They did a great job!

You need to wash your hands.  You need to stay away from germs.

Cole

Germs get on your hands.  Wash your hands.  Germs are sad.

Josie

Wash your hands to get the germs off.  When you sneeze you need to sneeze into your arm. 

Why are germs bad?  Because they are bad.

Natalie

You should wash your hands.  We should stay away from germs.  Germs are bad.
