UPDATES...

I have created a webpage through shutterfly for our class--this will make adding the pictures super easy!  Well, maybe not SUPER easy but easier than before! I think you will be able to copy/print pictures from that website too.  I have added a link over on the right side under "Our Favorite Links" so--click on it and check it.  Let me know what you think!  I have also added another way to follow us--through email.  I think that it will send you an email everytime I create a new post--you may or may not want this because this website will be geared toward my new kinders in July/August.  Feel free to follow or just check in based on what your needs are.

SUMMER VACATION

Well, school is over--what are you doing?  We had sooo much fun this year and I can't believe how fast it went by...

I did finally get the picture slide show to work and I will be sending it out next week.  I took a lot of pics this year and they did not all fit on the slideshow so I will put them on our blog so you can see them.  I am also working on publishing a few books from our classroom, be sure to check back for updates!

Writing Workshop

We wrote about the beach last week during our writing workshop.  The students had to think of something that had the same beginning sound as the beginning sound of their first name.  Here are the papers from Tuesday's group and Thursday's group.

Natalie

I would take Noah.  We would go in the water!  At the beach we would have a picnic.

Christian

I would take a kitten to the beach.

Cole

I would take Colin to the beach.

Josie

I am bringing jelly.  I am playing in the sand at the beach.

Madison

I would take a man to the beach.

THE MAGIC HOUSE

We had a wonderful time at the Magic House yesterday.  My kinder parents helped make the day so much fun--I had 19 parents attend the field trip--can you believe it!  The pics are still on my camera, but I hope to get them downloaded when I get home tonight.  We were very busy last night, I didn't know that I would be putting in a partial garden and attending baseball practice for Devin.  When all that was finished I went home, took a shower and went to bed. 

Get ready for the picnic tomorrow!

TEACHER APPRECIATION

My wonderful room mother and class gave me flowers and a card (which was the best part).  The card had the 19 reasons why we love Mrs. Gaither and each student had their own answer--brought tears to my eyes!  Their loved showed and it was one of the best gifts I have ever recieved! 

HEART AND LUNGS

We studied the heart and lungs last week and I thought the kiddos did a WONDERFUL job writing--I thought I would share a few papers--

1.  The blood vessels bring blood to your heart.
